From Dunwoody, GA, patients trust Atlanta Spine Institute, where Dr. Plas James and Dr. Ben Burch treat complex spinal conditions with precision and compassion.
Explore common triggers that cause stenosis to flare up, such as physical activity, poor posture, and inflammation. Learn how to manage and prevent flare-ups.
An epidural steroid injection (ESI) delivers a combination of corticosteroid medication and a local anesthetic directly into the epidural space—the area surrounding the spinal cord and nerve roots.
While herniated discs can cause significant discomfort, many people can find relief through a combination of conservative treatments and, in some cases, more advanced interventions.
A discectomy is a surgical procedure to remove part of a damaged spinal disc, offering relief from pain caused by nerve compression.
Athletes often experience lower back pain due to overuse, poor technique, weak core muscles, tight hips, and inadequate recovery, requiring balanced care and training.
Physical therapy for the spine reduces pain, improves mobility, and strengthens support muscles, offering effective management for spine-related conditions.
Understanding what aggravates cervical radiculopathy is crucial for managing symptoms and preventing further irritation.
Lumbar corpectomy and fusion is a major surgical procedure designed to treat serious spinal conditions when other treatments are not effective.
Neck pain commonly occurs at the base of the skull, upper and lower neck, and trapezius muscles. Identifying the source can help in finding effective relief.
Atlanta Spine Institute is led by Dr. Plas T.
